Video Transcript for Pro Series Detachable Footplate Review

Today we're going to be taking a look at the pro-series detachable foot plate, designed for use with two and quarter inch main tube jacks. Part number on it is PS1400700340. Now as you can see, we've got an included pin here, this is going to securely attach the foot plate to the bottom of our jack. The whole diameter here inside to inside is about two inches. This is going to be designed to fit the jacks so they have the two and a quarter inch main tube and the two-inch tube that comes out of those. The main body of our foot plate measures about three and three quarters of an inch wide and we've got about seven and a half inches in width. Now attachment to your trailer couldn't be easier.

What we do is just bring it down underneath our main shank, slide it into position, we'll lift up on it, and then slide through our pin. Now with that just the steel tube that comes out we've been having issues with this just digging down into the gravel a little bit and causing us some headaches so our foot-pack design here is going to help to dissipate that and spread that weight out to give us more upward pushing force. They've designed it with a Zinc construction, so that's going to help to prevent the rust and corrosion as we go down the road. As you can see with it installed, it's just a matter of letting your jack do the work now. As you can see there, we've got a nice sturdy fit. Our foot-packI's not going anywhere.

We could keep lifting it up but I don't feel like wasting your time with that, so go ahead and just lower it back down. This is going to be fully detachable, if you decide that you don't want the noise or don't want it attached as your going down the road. We can leave it connected just as you see there, but simply by just removing that pin and raising our tube up high enough we'll be able to take it right back off. So there you go guys, that's today's look at the pro-series detachable footplate for two and quarter inch main tube or two inch down tube jacks. Part number on it is PS1400700340. .

Decent foot plate but it didn’t come with a connector pin.

by:

Fit very nice, prevents damage to my jack shaft. Wide foot supports the weight of the trailer.

by:

Hard to find locally, quick and easy from etrailer

by:

The footplate is a perfect fit for the jack, and is large enough to provide a stable footing. I am using it on a Rockwood 25 ft Travel Trailer. After having an electric jack that failed too soon, I am glade to return to a manual jack.

by:

Looks and does as advertised. Seems well built. Fit Jack properly. No idea how it will hold up over time and use.

by:

This what I needed for my trailer, more stable, also very fast shipping, and the commutation was awesome

by:

Worked perfect to replace the missing jack foot on a vintage toy hauler. A little effort to redo the crushed tubular section & the new foot slipped right on. Thanks for the prompt service.

I appreciate the follow up. Your products continue to provide greatservice and give me nothing but pleasure whenever I use my vintage Pentontoy hauler. Thanks again.

This is a great foot plate for 2" jacks. I would not put on a new jack without it. Shipping was prompt.

So far, its still working great No problems with it

My leveling jack broke on my camper/ice shanty as I was preparing for hard water to thicken. I remembered ordering parts from etrailer when I was building it 4+ years ago. My experience with you back then was excellent as it was this time. Thanks for the quick service and the great products.

by:

Arrived on time as promised. Order in conjunction with a new A frame side wind jack. Fit great and is very sturdy. Would use etrailer again.

by:

Works well, but I take it off when trav eling.

by:

Nice strong trailer Jack plate

by:

Quick service and dependable profession als

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect fit, easy to order, came in about a week. 3rd order from etrailer I'll be going back for all my needs in the future!!

by:

Used this for a swivel jack I modified for my square drop trailer.

by:

Awesome product! Well built, fit perfect. I needed to drill a couple holes in the foot to drain out any water because it will get trapped. No big deal! I would recommend this product to anyone that need one! Thanks etrailer

by:

Product was high quality, arrived quickly and worked well!

Fits great and works great.

by:

Quality piece and a decent price. I never had a footplate before and I think this will well.

  • What are the Dimensions of the Outer and inner Tubing of Trailer Jack # PS1401000303
I went out to the warehouse to measure the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack, # PS1401000303. The outer tube is 2-1/4 inches in diameter. The inner tubing is about 1.97 inches in diameter. This jack does not come with a wheel or footplate. For a wheel, you can use # PS1400750340. For a foot plate, you can use # PS1400700340.

  • Replacement Wheel Jack Or Foot Compatible With Custom Welded Furrel With 2-1/2 Inch Diameter
We don't have anything that fits the outside of that furrel, but if the inside diameter is 2 inches, then the e Pro Series Detachable Footplate w/ Pin for 2" Diameter Jacks - 2,000 lbs to 5,000 lbs # PS1400700340 will work. With either option you will need a longer pin because you will be using the jack leg's outer diameter.

  • Trailer Jack Option for Trailer with 1-3/4 inch Hole for Jack Leg to Fit
All of the sidewind jacks like the part # PSRV20000103 will have an outer diameter of 2 or 2-1/4 inches. This one happens to be 2-1/4 inches. You would have to open up the lower hole to match the correct size of the larger jack. A qualified fabricator in your area would have no problem doing this. This jack would work great for you as it has more than enough capacity. For a foot plate you would need part # PS1400700340 or a wheel caster # PS1400750340.

  • Distance from Plate to Pin Hole on Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340
I went out to the warehouse and was able to measure the distance from the base plate to the pin hole on the Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340. The distance is right at 3/4 inches so you should have no problem using it with your existing jack as long as it also has 2 inch diameter tubing. I have included an image labeled with this dimension for you to review.

  • Replacement Trailer Jack Recommendation for a 2005 Haulmark Transport 6X10
I looked up some pictures of your trailer and it looks like the style of jack that came on your trailer is an A-frame style jack like part # PSRV20000103. This would be a great jack to use as a replacement as it should replace what you currently have and has plenty of capacity. I feel confident recommending this jack because of how many positive reviews it has as well. I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Buyers Products A-Frame Jack # 3370091265 referenced in your question. I measured a height from the mounting bracket up to the top of the tube (before the handle) of just about 9-1/2 inches. I have attached an image to assist. To get the clearance measurement you're needing you likely will need to move down to a 2,000 pound topwind jack (if possible for your trailer's tongue weight). For this I recommend taking a look at the Pro Series...

On the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Trailer Jack, # PSEA20000103, it measures 8 inches from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the inner tube. For the footplate, # PS1400700340, or the Wheel, # PS1400750340, (both fit this jack) the pin diameter is 5/16 of an inch and the length is 2-3/4 inches. The slotted holes on the mounting bracket measure 7/16 inches wide by 7/8 inches long. They are 3 inches apart on center.

  • Will Bulldog A-Frame Jack # BD1550101344 Fit 2,000-Lb Boat and Trailer and Be Corrosion-Resistant
The Bulldog Round Sidewind A-Frame Jack, part # BD1550101344, has a lift capacity of 3,000 lbs and will work fine on your 2,000-lb boat and trailer for lift capacity. The lift capacity means this jack is able to lift and support up to 3,000 lbs. An A-frame jack like the Bulldog is mounted on the tongue of the trailer so it is rated to lift the tongue weight of the boat and trailer. If you have a 2,000-lb boat and trailer, the tongue weight range would be 10 to 15 percent or 200 to 300...

  • Footplate Recommendation to Replace Wheel Caster on Trailer Tongue Jack
The Pro Series Footplate, part # PS1400700340, is a great choice for a replacement footplate on your trailer jack. The footplate features a snapper pin so no additional clip is needed to secure the foot. I've linked a video for you to take a look at.

According to Bulldog, the caster wheel of the # BD162300 could theoretically be removed, but it is not recommended. If the bolt holding the caster is removed, and the caster is slid off the tube of the jack, there are washers and ball bearings that will fall out of the bottom of the jack that will be very difficult to replace. This jack was not designed to have the caster removed and replaced with a foot plate. The Pro Series # PS1401000303 might be a good option. From the mounting bracket...

  • Is Footplate from Shelby 5793 Jack Compatible with Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack # PSEA20000340
Footplates for trailer jacks tend to be universal so I would be surprised if the one from your Shelby wasn't compatible with the Pro Series Round, A-Frame Jack # PSEA20000340 that you referenced. The Pro Series Detachable Footplate # PS1400700340 that was made to go with this jack has the standard 1/4" pin so if the footplate from your Shelby has a 1/4" pin and has a tubing diameter of 2" on the jack itself then you can most certainly use your old footplate with the Pro Series jack.

  • Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack for a T@B TAB Tear Trailer with a 1.5
I think the Fulton F2 Swing-Up Jack is a good choice. The model for 4 - 5" frames is # F1413140334. The 1600 lb. tongue weight rating is much more than you need, but won't affect the function of the jack. The height will work and it will get the jack level with the tongue when traveling. My only concern would be that you have enough space on your frame for the jack to swing up. You will need approximately 25" of frame space that is free from other accessories to allow the jack to swing...

The footplate for Bulldog rack and gear jack # BD018520 is welded to the foot and cannot be removed but I do have some recommendations for you. First, take a look at Pro Series jack # PS1401000303. The mounting bracket is very low relative to the bottom of the jack tubes, 5-1/2 inches.
